Global Goals Business Conversations: You are invited to take part in a round table discussion on the UN Sustainable Goals and the role of the Irish Business Community in achieving these targets. The session will openly discuss what role we as a community can do to play our part in this initiative.
Limerick Chamber is delighted to partner with Concern Worldwide and Irish Aid to host an online Global Goals Business Conversation for our members .
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, or ‘Global Goals’, are 17 goals which aim to end issues such as poverty, hunger and inequality by 2030, while protecting our planet from climate change, were agreed by all 193 UN member states in 2015.
The ‘Global Goals Business Conversations’ invite high-level decision makers within the Irish business community to a ‘Chatham House Rules’ round table discussion on how the business sector can contribute to Ireland’s efforts to achieve the goals and provide ambitious leadership on sustainability.
We are inviting a member of your senior management team to participate in this discussion for Limerick Chamber members on Thursday 1st July.
This is an opportunity to think about where you can have impact, how you are progressing sustainability within and through your business, what the barriers and challenges are, and how government can help. As well as informing your own strategy, your input will contribute to a report to governments on the business sector’s engagement with the SDGs.
